Getting started with the Hub
What you need to get started with RecordFlower
2 min
The requirements to get started with the RecordFlower Hub are minimal. You do not need technical knowledge, an existing website or a large inventory. Here is what you do need.
Three basic requirements
An email address for your RecordFlower account.
A Stripe or Mollie account for the payments in your webshop. Stripe or Mollie processes the payments and pays out to your own bank account.
Your stock, from any of three sources: a one-off import from Discogs if you sell there, a CSV file, or your first crate through Scan and Go. There is no minimum; one record is enough.
Stripe verification: what to expect
Stripe and Mollie require a one-time identity verification for all sellers. You complete it during onboarding. Stripe asks for a valid form of ID, your bank account details and your address, and for business sellers a company registration. More information is available at stripe.com.
For the shop floor
If you run a physical shop, you can connect your till to the Hub on the Shop plan: Loyverse, PayPal Point of Sale (formerly Zettle), Lightspeed Retail, Shopify POS or SumUp. A barcode scanner and a label printer are useful too. We don't supply them ourselves, but we're happy to advise on which devices work; if you already own them, they most likely will.
What you don't need
You do not need technical knowledge, your own server, a web designer or a separate domain name, unless you want one. RecordFlower handles hosting, maintenance and updates. You focus on your stock and your customers.
What this means for you
The barrier to entry is low. An email address, a Stripe or Mollie account and a first record, and you are almost ready. RecordFlower takes care of the rest.
